Portrait of Lea Reinhart

About

Hi, I’m Lea.

Working across IT, psychology and business practice, I see the enormous potential in the technology. I also know that human cognition was never built for the digital world, and needs protecting because of it.

A Background That Joins Up

Technology, people, and enterprise reality.

Since university I’ve worked across people, machines and business. Over the years that has built into a background at this intersection that’s unusually broad and deep at the same time. Three perspectives that meet in one place:

The Value

Business

In consulting I watched technically flawless projects fail on bad data, missing integration budgets and users who wouldn’t adopt them. Which is why I know AI has to be steered strictly within the business strategy, not the reverse.

  • AI Consulting · Lidl International

Building and strategically steering AI projects inside a global retail group, between the business and IT. Over my years at Lidl I went deep into the business processes in order to extend them sensibly with technology. That spanned many projects, from classical AI in logistics to generative AI in marketing.

  • Software Engineering

I started programming at 16 for myself; professionally I joined Data42 in 2019, building big data pipelines.

The People

Psychology

Through my B.Sc. in human-computer interaction and my role as digitalisation champion, I know the cognitive barriers in change management, and how user adoption has to be designed psychologically if new technology is to be taken up rather than blocked.

  • B.Sc. Human-Computer Interaction

Completed in Hamburg, top of my year. Psychology and computer science in equal measure, aimed at designing technology around the people who use it.

  • Digitalisation Champion · Lidl International

Reporting directly to the CIO, I established new ways of working and translated complex technical material precisely, for every level up to the C-suite.

  • Communication That Lands

In my writing I translate specialist material so that it actually reaches the audience it was written for.

The Technology

IT

With an M.Sc. in computer science and hands-on software engineering behind me, I bring the mathematical and algorithmic depth to understand AI and data structures past the buzzwords.

  • M.Sc. Computer Science

From modern transformer architectures to algorithms and data structures, my degree took me deep into the technical side.

  • heise+ · Rheinwerk Verlag

The research behind my articles and my book chapter built an unusually solid technical foundation.

  • Tutorial Group Leader, Theoretical Computer Science

Mathematical proofs were always fun for me, which is where I learned early how to convey difficult material to people for whom they were anything but.

Interdisciplinary, because that’s what works.

I bring an interdisciplinary perspective to helping people use AI productively, and keep using it well. By focusing on the people rather than on short-term technical potential, I make sure AI supports their capabilities over the long run instead of eroding them.
